Bitcoin mempool built up 640K queue entries from May to Oct‚ indicating the network was operating at saturation‚ i.e. receiving more traffic than it can handle.

In Oct‚ the mempool was cleared and network rejiggered with 10X higher transaction fees in an apparent attempt to suppress & compress traffic to a sustainable volume.

Twelve weeks later‚ mempool hit 530K queued entries‚ building up even faster than the May-Oct timeframe. Probably dropping 3-4% of transactions at the moment.
