Data first this time, then commentary.
Google Trends graph of "MeidasTouch" media versus "Beanie Babies"...
Last night (April 29th), MeidasTouch media hosted an online "Dem Gov Town Hall" which "reached #1 Stream on All of YouTube". Which is great and all except there is zero evidence in Google Trends, where "Beanie babies" maintained a comfortably higher level of public interest. Come on, Meidas Bros, there was barely a bobble of uptick last night!
Hell, even the broadcasts on Feb 19th and Mar 18th produced noticeable spikes... briefly higher than "Beanie Babies".
Briefly.
But those spikes probably cost more to "amplify" so this time they went with an online town hall which is probably cheaper to fake. Unfortunately, the fakery only shows up in Youtube, there was no bleedover into adjoining domains like Trends.
