CA Donor State
Newsom claims California pays more to FedGov than it receives. Easily debunked because there are no "donor States". The FedGov is borrowing an additional $2+ trillion beyond all State payments combined and California receives about 10% or $200 billion.
Work Newsom's own numbers - $680 billion paid, 14% of $4.8 trillion is $672 billion. But FedGov budget is actually $6.8 trillion, not $4.8 trillion.
Yup, $2 trillion missing from his numbers.
Because Newsom is incompetent, a lying shitbag or maybe both.
$200 billion minus the $80 billion loss claimed by Newsom means California reaps a $120 billion Federal windfall, 1/3rd of his State budget.
Federal deficit spending is glue holding the empire together because each State effectively gets an annual loan signed by Big Daddy that they don't have to repay. I'd like to see him act on his claim. My mom is dead so the CALPERS retirement fund isn't my concern anymore.
Debtors never believe debt matters... until 1/3rd of their budget gets pulled. The blue States, especially the large ones, have an inflationary mindset re-enforced for 55 fiat years. None of those States can honor debt obligations because they were conditioned like Pavlov dogs to pushed their debt forward into cheaper money every year.
That world is ending. In the near future, they'll push their debt forward into HIGHER interest rates and more expensive money. Listen to their shrieks of pain already. Trump is more of a symptom than a cause but Progressives don't seem able to figure this out.
Newsom is just more future pain and Washington, Oregon and California are headed for a Reckoning of Pain regardless of the president's name. Most of their crypto bills are about confiscation, restrictions and fines while the red States bills are about commerce, innovation and flexibility.
